What does a power washing service include in San Diego?
A power washing visit in San Diego covers rig setup, a pre-treatment on stains, a surface cleaner pass at around 3000 PSI on concrete, and a rinse. Painted stucco gets a low-pressure soft wash instead. Residential visits run $120 to $900 depending on surface and size.
Here is how a typical visit actually goes.
How does a visit run from arrival to rinse?
Staging takes us about 20 minutes. We lay out 150 feet of hose, find a working spigot, and cover plants near the work area.
Then stains get treated. Oil gets a degreaser and hot water at 180 degrees. Algae gets a cleaning solution and time to dwell.
After that comes the pass itself, with a 20 inch surface cleaner on flat concrete and a wand only on edges and steps.
Last is the rinse, and a walk of the property with you before we pack up.

Is power washing different from pressure washing?
To almost every customer, no. The real difference is heat. A power washer heats the water, and we use that on grease at restaurant pads and carport oil.
But hot water is not a license to crank the pressure. On a 1920s Craftsman in South Park, we dropped to a soft wash because the old paint would have lifted under anything stronger.
What should you ask before booking?
Ask what PSI they use on stucco, whether they carry liability insurance, and whether they reclaim runoff that reaches a storm drain. San Diego enforces BMP rules on that last one, and we follow them on every job. Our compliance page explains how.
