What does driveway cleaning cost in San Diego?
Driveway cleaning in San Diego typically costs $150 to $300 for a standard 400 to 700 square foot concrete drive and $250 to $450 for pavers that need joint sand replaced. Most jobs take 45 to 90 minutes. Oil staining, rust, and access problems are what move the price.

We run Integrity Pro Washers as an owner-operated crew, and driveways are the job we do most. Here is what a visit looks like from our side.
What the job involves
We walk the drive first. We look at how old the concrete is, whether it is sealed, where the oil sits, and whether the slope sends rinse water toward a neighbor or a storm drain.
On concrete we use a 20 inch surface cleaner at about 3000 PSI and 4 GPM. We do not use a rotary tip held close. On the older pours in North Park, Normal Heights, and Hillcrest the surface is soft and porous, and a zero degree style tip can leave a permanent stripe in a couple of seconds.
Algae and mildew get a pre-soak with a mild cleaning solution, a 15 to 20 minute dwell, then one slow pass and a rinse. The chemistry does the lifting. The pressure just moves it off.
What changes the price
- Size of the slab, usually 400 to 700 square feet for a single driveway.
- Oil stains. These need a degreaser dwell and hot water, and add roughly $75 to $150.
- Rust from gates, sprinkler heads, or old furniture. This needs an acid-based treatment, not more pressure.
- Pavers. We clean at lower pressure, pull the loose joint sand with the rinse, then re-sand with polymeric sand.
- Access. Canyon-edge lots in South Park and Kensington can mean extra hose and a longer day.
How long does it take?
A typical 500 square foot driveway runs 60 to 75 minutes door to door. Pavers with re-sanding take closer to 90 minutes, and the sand needs a few hours before cars go back on it.
When driveway cleaning is the wrong fix
Deep oil that has sat for years will lighten but may not disappear. We tell you that before we start. Cracked or spalling concrete gets cleaner but not newer, and we will say so.
And if the slab is sealed and failing, cleaning alone can leave it looking patchy. Sealing is a separate conversation.
Questions customers ask us
Will pressure washing damage my concrete?
Not if the tool matches the surface. A surface cleaner at 3000 PSI is safe on most San Diego slabs. Old, soft concrete is why we avoid rotary tips.
How soon can I park on it?
Concrete is ready as soon as it dries, usually within an hour or two. Re-sanded pavers should rest for several hours.
Do you handle the runoff?
Yes. We follow BMP practices and keep wash water out of storm drains where the site requires it.
Where we clean driveways
We work across North Park, Hillcrest, Normal Heights, South Park, and Mission Hills, plus the rest of the county. For the full picture of what we do, see our pressure washing page or the Integrity Pro Washers homepage.
If we cleaned your driveway, a Google review that names the neighborhood and the surface helps the next homeowner more than a star rating alone.
